This week, the Box Office Top Five included Bad Boys, 1917, Dolittle and, depending on the day that you look at the numbers, Jumanji: The Next Level ($292,561,852), The Gentlemen or Gretel and Hansel ($9,166,966).
A Closer Look at Some of This Week’s Films
Well, let’s just say ‘film’ because there is only one debuting this weekend and that’s Birds of Prey. In my mind this will, no doubt, push Bad Boys For Life out of the number one position that it’s enjoyed for quite some time.

Birds of Prey (R) 109 minutes: Disclaimer, I haven’t seen Suicide Squad (yet) but from the moment I saw the trailer to Birds of Prey I wanted to see it. It looks sooooo good and without even seeing it, I’m predicting it will be number one for the weekend. You really don’t need to see Suicide Squad to see Birds of Prey. The gist of the movie is that the Joker has broken up with Harley Quinn (played by the uber-talented Margot Robbie) and kicks her out of the house. The badass moves in with a doc who owns a Chinese shop. That’s all I’ll say. Birds of Prey is a DC movie directed by Cathy Yan.
The Bottom Line
Not much to say this week, so let’s focus on the rest of the month. There will be more options for your viewing pleasure coming out this month, including Sonic The Hedgehog (February 14) and The Call of the Wild (February 21). This Sunday is the Academy Awards.
