Plot Synopsis
The Book of Boba Fett‘s plot synopsis: “THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT, a thrilling Star Wars adventure teased in a surprise end-credit sequence following the Season 2 finale of THE MANDALORIAN, finds legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett and mercenary Fennec Shand navigating the galaxy’s underworld when they return to the sands of Tatooine to stake their claim on the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate.” More on this spin-off TV series and its main character: The upcoming, Disney+ exclusive Star Wars TV series was advertised for the first time at the end Season Two of The Mandalorian. The post-credit scene to The Mandalorian: Season 2, Episode 8: The Rescue featured Boba Fett and his thrall entering Jabba the Hutt’s palace, killing almost everyone there, and seating himself on the throne. Notable for his taciturn demeanor and for never removing his helmet, Boba appears in both The Empire Strikes Back (1980), under the employ of the Galactic Empire, and Return of the Jedi (1983), employed by the crime lord Jabba the Hutt. In Return of the Jedi, he apparently meets his demise after falling into a sarlacc, though his survival is later confirmed by his appearances in other Star Wars works set after Return of the Jedi. Boba was retroactively added to the Special Edition of A New Hope released in 1997, making a non-speaking cameo appearance. The Book of Boba Fett will premiere on Disney+ on December 29, 2021.
