Thoughts on This Week’s In-home Releases
The latest adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s classic novel about four sisters growing up after the Civil War has been released today. This adaptation stars Emma Watson, Saoirse Ronan, Florence Pugh, Eliza Scanlen, and was directed by Greta Gerwig. The uninspired new version of Doctor Dolittle entitled Dolittle and the disastrous adaptation of Broadway’s Cats debuted this Tuesday on home video. Escape from Pretoria, when the trailers premiered, seemed like a middle-of-the-road film with a thrilling premise: Madam Secretary aired six seasons on CBS with its final season airing in 2019. Along with two imprisoned fellow freedom fighters (played by Daniel Webber and Mark Leonard Winter), Tim escaped on 11th, December 1970 using hand-made wooden keys which he crafted whilst incarcerated.
