God Particle is the next Cloverfield film

Bad Robot‘s God Particle (2017) will be the third Cloverfield film in the Cloverfield film franchise. Like 10 Cloverfield Lane before it, God Particle was announced and produced as a stand alone film and then was later revealed to be a part of a shared universe. That universe belongs to Matt Reeves‘ 2008 film Cloverfield. The shared universe move proved successful for 10 Cloverfield Lane. 10 Cloverfield Lane brought in $72 Million domestically and $108 Million worldwide on a $15 Million production budget (not counting its marketing costs).

From these news, it looks as though Bad Robot is aiming at an anthology series for the Cloverfield films.
