Joker‘s take at the box office blew away expectations and set a number of records: 1.) widest October opening ever (playing in 4,374 locations), 2.) largest October Thursday preview (bringing in $13.3 million), 3.) largest October domestic opening weekend of all-time, and 4.) fourth largest opening ever for an R-rated feature.

Abominable was Second at the box office over the weekend with $12 Million. Downton Abbey was Third at the box office over the weekend with $8 Million. Hustlers was Fourth with $6.3 Million in the United States. Worldwide, Hustlers has made $110 Million so far. It: Chapter Two was Fifth at the box office over the weekend with $5.3 Million. Principal photography of the film began in the second week of September 2018, and concluded in March 2019. Initially titled Fighters, the film’s title was changed after the release of the official teaser in July 2019. The film’s music was composed by Vishal–Shekhar, with lyrics written by Kumaar, and released under the banner YRF Music.
